Pete & Gerry’s 2025 Sustainability & Impact Report

For nearly 30 years, Pete & Gerry's has believed better farming starts with doing right by hens, farmers, people, and the planet. In 2025, we completed our fifth B Corp recertification, reinforcing our commitment to accountability across governance, workers, community, the environment, and our customers. Today, we are proud to share our first Sustainability & Impact Report, a transparent look at the work guiding our business and the goals shaping where we go next.

This report marks an important milestone for our family of brands. It brings together the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities that have long been part of how we operate, and puts them into one clear, measurable framework. As we share in our report, impact at Pete & Gerry’s is not a side initiative. It is foundational to how we have built our business and how we plan to grow it responsibly.

Built on Transparency and Grounded in Progress

Our 2025 report serves as the baseline year for several environmental and social metrics, including greenhouse gas emissions tracking. It is designed to give stakeholders a more complete view of our business across farming, processing, logistics, packaging, community partnerships, and workforce initiatives. It also reflects our commitment to continuous improvement over time.

Sustainability & Impact Report Highlights

Inside the report, you will discover how we are working to:

  • Support a network of more than 350 family farms across the United States, helping create a more resilient supply network while supporting farmer stability and humane standards across our operations
  • Strengthen our approach to emissions measurement and set a goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by 25% by 2031
  • Expand renewable energy solutions, like our 2025 milestone in Kalona, Iowa, where our facility operated on 100% solar-generated electricity, powering approximately 1 to 1.2 million kWh
  • Improve feed efficiency, including a 2.4% improvement in feed conversion ratio (FCR) since 2022, helping reduce resource use and overall emissions
  • Invest in our people through benefits, volunteer time, employee resource groups (ERGs), and pilot ESL programming
  • Support communities through our partnership with No Kid Hungry, helping provide access to more than 1.5 million meals annually, alongside substantial egg donations to community partners

Why This Report Matters

As a brand built for people who care where their food comes from, we know transparency matters. Consumers want more than just claims, and this report is one way we are delivering on that promise.

It reflects the standards that have guided us for decades, from being the first egg producer in the U.S. to become Certified Humane in 2003, to our leadership in the egg category as a Certified B Corporation in 2013. Together, these milestones showcase our longstanding commitment to humane practices, family farm partnerships, and responsible growth.

The 2025 Report is Just the Beginning

Our first report establishes a foundation, but it is not the finish line.

Future annual reports will build on this baseline by tracking progress over time and strengthening accountability. That means continuing to improve data quality, deepen measurement, and report more clearly on the work ahead.

We are proud of the progress reflected here, and just as proud of the opportunity to keep raising the bar, because at Pete & Gerry’s, responsible farming is not separate from our business. It is how we do business.
