Natural Remedies for Puffy Eyes
For the first time in my life, I've been sleeping really well‚– like 8 hours of uninterrupted ZZ's on a bad night sort of sleep. But you wouldn't know it by looking at my eyes. When I stumble to the bathroom every morning and take a look in the mirror, I'm greeted by some seriously puffy, tired-looking eyes. The skin in the eye area is thinner than most of the skin on the rest of your body, so it's especially sensitive to things like stress, illness, or changes in your diet. Luckily, natural remedies are super effective at shrinking bags and lessening redness. And my favorite natural eye treatment these days is eggs.
Why use eggs on your under eye and eyelids?
Eggs contain collagen, protein, and a bunch of vitamins and minerals that nourish the eye area. When combined with other ingredients specifically targeted for things like circles, bags, and wrinkles, eggs make the perfect eye treatment for almost any ailment. The collagen helps fill in under-eye wrinkles, while the protein improves your skin's elasticity. Egg yolks are chock-full of essential fatty acids, the building blocks of healthy cell membranes, and are said to improve skin moisture. And egg whites tighten skin and shrink wrinkles, leaving your skin smoother than ever.
To get the most beauty benefits from your eggs, it's important to choose organic eggs, which comes from hens that never consume harmful pesticides or GMO-ridden food. So you can rest easy knowing that you're using the highest-quality eggs possible and getting the most beauty benefits for your buck.
