Our Story
Setting a higher standard for farming practices and animal care across an entire industry doesn’t happen without ruffling a few feathers—we squawk the squawk and walk the walk. Proudly B Corp Certified and Certified Humane, we were the first to pave the way for better and we’re still doing it best.

In 2013, we became the first egg producers in the U.S. to receive B Corp certification, reinforcing our longstanding commitment to people and the planet while living our mission to bring better eggs to your table.

As the first egg producers to seek and receive the rigorous and science-backed Certified Humane certification, we've paved the way for improved animal welfare conditions across the entire industry and inspired others to follow.

When it comes to producing our USDA Certified Organic eggs, every single step is part of a larger, all-natural, and sustainable ecosystem, from natural soil free from synthetic pesticides to nutritious, organically-grown feed.

Combat hunger
Support our long-standing relationship with No Kid Hungry, working together to make strides forward in ending domestic childhood nutrition insecurity.
We’ll donate a minimum of 1MM eggs to our local communities in addition to a $150k monetary donation, which can provide up to 1.5MM meals to children facing nutrition insecurity. We’ll also continue to use our Pete & Gerry’s Family of Brands’ social and digital platforms and partnerships to drive awareness and advocacy for the pervasive issue of childhood hunger and food insecurity in the U.S.

Reduce Energy Consumption
Ongoing and continued evaluation to effect and implement measures to ensure we’re using energy responsibly across and throughout our supply chain, including farming, processing, and logistics.
In addition to our solar-powered plant in Iowa, in Summer 2025 we’ll install a solar field at our flagship processing facility which will make our New Hampshire campus 100% energy self-sufficient.

Foster inclusivity and Development
Continuously assess and improve processes to ensure access to education, training, and development opportunities, driving progress relative to connectivity and cultivating a supportive, secure, and inspiring workplace environment.
In the spirit of our brand culture of community and inclusivity, we’ll ensure equitable availability of language classes, continuing education, mentorship opportunities, and leadership training, in addition to nurturing Employee Resource Groups in support of underserved internal stakeholders

Farm Ethically and Sustainably
Continue to push forward the Pete & Gerry’s Family of Brands’ founding mission: Healthy Hens, Healthy Eggs, Healthy Planet.
We’ll track and communicate the environmental and social benefits of the model we pioneered nearly 30 years ago, humane hen care on family farms, so shoppers are aware of the impact made with each egg purchase.
