Key Account Manager, Central U.S.

The Key Account Manager for the Central U.S. will be accountable for the achievement of region and account-specific goals by developing customer relationships, managing broker partners and executing a trade marketing plan to drive sales and profitable growth through effective promotions, new item distribution and retail excellence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase sales at the accounts through analytical and fact-based selling.
  • Develop fact-based analyses to understand market and category dynamics leveraging syndicated and customer data.
  • Works directly with the chain buyers and sell-in the entire portfolio in an objective manner.
  • Work with a sense of urgency towards projects, requests, and deadlines.
  • Manage day to day tactics with brokers and distributors through meetings, scorecards and clear communication.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for volumes and revenue for assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for updating internal sales trade management system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Works within allocated trade budget.
  • Attend trade shows as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance and marketing to develop and align on clear communication and plans.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the territory.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years regional sales experience with strong preference for perishable foods experience.
  • Working knowledge of business math.
  • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Must be self-driven, results oriented, and able to drive sales while working independently.
  • Travel up to 30%.

More Information

$80,000 - $95,000 per year + 10% bonus
