Sales Planning Analyst

The Sales Planning Analyst will develop and maintain actionable sales planning and trade spend management tools, supporting the sales team and broker network, in an effort to drive the efficiency and accuracy of sales and spend forecasts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain excel-based reporting to track promotional activity and trade spend on a weekly basis to support sales and broker partners
  • Track and analyze performance of promotional activities, providing key takeaways and recommendations based on promotional results using syndicated data and internal reports
  • Oversee internal trade management system, collaborating with Sales and Operations teams, as well as broker networks, to ensure accuracy of trade spend and promotional details
  • Collaborate with Sales team to update promotional calendars based on latest insights, sales strategies, and market trends
  • Onboard and train new members of sales team and broker partners to bring them up to speed with trade management system and broker portal
  • Assist Sales Planning team in managing trade spend to budgeted rates at the account/sales manager level
  • Assist Finance team with monthly accrual process, in collaboration with Finance and Sales teams
  • Up front coordination with Regional Sales Managers and presentation of monthly sales team calls
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and marketing to develop and align on clear communication and plans

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years in sales/finance/insights/analytics within the consumer packaged goods industry
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate those insights to field sales
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (including formulas, pivot tables and graphs) and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, and able to drive sales while working independently
  • Travel up to 10%

More Information

$60,000 - $70,000/year + bonus
