Accounting Manager

Monroe, NH

Ideal Team Member

The Accounting Manager leads a team of accounting staff in day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue and asset accounting, financial analysis, and cost accounting.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises and mentors a team of 5 or more accounting staff members.
  • Acts as primary liaison between finance and other functional areas of the business.
  • Coordinates the evaluation, development, and maintenance of the Company’s financial controls.
  • Supports the budgeting and forecasting efforts through variance analysis.
  • Leads cost accounting efforts to capture the total cost of production.
  • Maintains Master Data in ERP database.
  • Monitors and maintains standard costs of various inventory items.
  • Acts as process owner of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Manages process improvement efforts for finance and accounting.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, process development or manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting tools, processes, and controls.
  • Demonstrated record of teamwork and success in cross-functional projects.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical projects.
  • Prior financial analysis and cost accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and databases strongly preferred.
