Hello there! I have been purchasing pete and gerry's (and also nellies eggs - I didn't know they are related) for years now. It is worth the few cents more for good treatment and good mental well being for everyone! keep it up!
My friend and I were wondering if there was the ability to come visit your farm. I think, as a consumer, it's good to SEE where your food is coming from. I have worked on plenty of (self sustainable) farms myself and would like to see where my eggs are from when I'm not collecting them myself! any tours or can we just come visit? please let me know.
also - how are you related to nellies eggs? sister companies? same chickens? that wasn't very clear on the website....

thanks
Rachel

I just watched Food, Inc. Wow what a documentary. I've been a laco-ovo vegetarian for 22 years but never gave a lot of thought to where my eggs and dairy came from but after watching that movie I do now. I've been buying Pete and Gerry's for a while but thank you for caring about chickens!! Now it's off to Stoneyfield Farms web site. Go organic!!

Your medium eggs are being sold by my local Key Food supermarket (on Flatbush Avenue). The price is good, for both first-timers eating organic anything and food stamp shoppers. The eggs take me back to my childhood and lift me out of the city. I have put several of my friends at St. John's Episcopal Church onto Pete and Gerry's eggs. Thank you. By the bye, do you have any white eggs (for Easter)?

Hi Pete & Gerry!

I want to thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful eggs! I am a "partial vegetarian" (or just picky eater, haha) and eggs, fish and limited dairy are my only animal product sources of food. Recently the animal rights group Compassion Over Killing released a video of the conditions of a Michael Foods Inc. egg farm (supplier of Dunkin Donuts). Well, it was SO horribly sad! the next time I was in Stop & Shop I paid more attention to the labels, and yours has the best! After seeing you're website and reading about your farm and beliefs, it makes me happy to buy eggs again!

I only wish the practices of your wonderful family and farm were applied by the rest of the farms in this world. Please keep up the good work and good luck in the spreading of your partnerships!

It makes me really happy to see all the comments on your website from people who -- like me -- are starting to see the light about food production in this country. Your eggs are delicious, but nothing beats just knowing that your hens are happy and well-cared for. Thank you for all your hard work and for being kind to your chickens.

My son also wrote to you, so I hope you will post his comment (Aidan Phipps). We visit a small organic farm in Virginia quite often where there are exotic breeds of hens the farmer keeps because she wants to show kids where their food comes from. My boys have loved watching these chickens foraging for insects around her heirloom tomatoes, and they love eating the delicious eggs that a happy, healthy chicken produces. When we can't have Gail's eggs, we choose yours!

thank you. Kathy

Hi,

Just wanted to thank you for allowing your hens to live cage free the way it should be. Your eggs are the only eggs my family buys my sister and I are both vegetarians have been for 22 years and cage free eggs are the only eggs we will eat. Thank you for treating your girls humanely.

I love Pete & Geryy's eggs. I'm about to eat some, scrambled, right now! I just wrote a review of your eggs on Zeer.com (http://www.zeer.com/Food-Products/Pete-and-Gerrys-Organic-Grade-A-Large-Brown-Eggs/000108762?appContext=&pageName=products%2FIndividualProduct ). My husband & I joined Costco several years ago simply because of the availability of your eggs at a great price!! Pete and Gerry's makes eating healthy easy. My breakfast consists of 3 eggs...yolk included. No fear of cholesterol. No fear in using them raw, either. Thank-you so much for being there!!

Besides the wonderful freshness of your eggs, it is a RELIEF to know that we are eating healthy eggs from HEALTHY, HAPPY chickens who are leading a normal life and are treated humanely.

When I was a little girl, my parents moved from Cambridge, MA, and bought a 70-acre farm in Northwood, NH. Amoung other animals and a huge vegetable garden, they raised about 50 hens. I remember the rooster crowing in the morning. I remember the chickens roosting, hunting, scratching, and clucking. (And I remember having my finger pecked when I stuck it through the chicken wire to pat one!)Until I tried your eggs, I didn't remember the taste of a fresh, healthy egg.

Thank you! Thank you for your commitment to quality and to the humane treatment of your feathered family.

A very happy egghead...

Hello all,
I want to thank you for your vision and keeping up with the tradition of small family farming. I am very pleased to read you respect and take care of your hens & environment. I myself come from a small family farm and know that organic fed & happy hens certainly lay better tasking eggs.

Keep up the great work! I hope you serve as an inspiration to more farmers. All the best to your families and your chickens.

I just want to thank you for your wonderful work. Pete & Gerry's are the only eggs i will buy. I love the featured chicken on the inside of the carton, it is reassurance that you really care for your girls and aren't just going "cage-free" because it's trendy now. I feel good about buying your eggs and supporting your chickens.

Hi everyone!

I was so thrilled when I found your eggs about two years ago. We try to buy locally and organic as well as products that support the human treatment of animals. As the parent of a pre-teen, I hope he is learning by our example.

Thank you so much!

Hi Folks at P&G's!

I've been wanting to tell you about my "P&G" experience, but never thought to go on line before now.

Anyway, about 10+ years ago, I became 'allergic' to almost every food on the planet and was only able to eat organic russet potatoes and "Pete and Gerry's" eggs. This went on for many years. (After awhile, we did find out my daughter and I were overexposed to the pesticide, Chlordane ... long story, and long road, but we're getting better!)

That being said, "Pete and Gerry's" were the ONLY organic eggs that I was able to tolerate! I can't begin to convey to you my deepest appreciation for all your work in keeping the integrity in your organic business practices - as well as the obvious love that you share with my 'little chicken friends'! Their pictures inside the labeling have brought a smile to my face many times. It was also nice to see Pete and Gerry as well as a few personal family members,

As I am now a lot better and can eat a wider variety of foods (as long as they're organic), I WILL NEVER purchase any other eggs but "Pete and Gerry's"! I'm very grateful that quite a few stores in my local area now carry them.

Oh, one more thing. The taste! Incredible! As a matter of fact, my older daughter would drop off my grandson on her way to work a few years ago and one time she hadn't eaten breakfast yet. I offered to make a couple of eggs for her ... and that was that!!! I had a regular breakfast customer for those four years! She couldn't believe how delicious they were!

Since she became a stay-at-home mom, I'd tried to convince her that it was the eggs, and not necessarily my 'wonderful culinary skills'. She finally decided to take my word for it (after about 3 years or so, I might add! ha ha!) and purchased some for her own family. She just can't believe that the eggs alone were what made the difference and she's sorry she didn't listen to 'her mother' sooner! My other daughter, who 'listens to her mother' (another, ha ha) always had her family enjoying P&G eggs!

To make a long story short, I don't know what I would have done, or where I would have ended up if I did not find your eggs those years ago. And I am forever grateful to you all. Thank you!

"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again."
Nobody can put together an organically produced egg like yours. I crack my eggs re-enacting the above nursery rhyme. First, I decorate the egg to look like Humpty Dumpty, then place it on top of a wall I have made from a tissue box, then knock it off the wall into a bowl. Then, to keep the nursery rhyme complete, I bring out figures of the king's horses and the king's men. Try this method of cracking eggs yourself!

I purchased your eggs yesterday because they were not caged. Today started out with small problems for me but all changed with your packaging. I read Nadine's story and it changed my mood for the day. Keep the stories coming. I plan to read them to my grandchildren.

Thank you Pete and Gerry! As a vegetarian, I always felt horrible consuming the factory-farmed dairy products but couldn't quite make the transition to vegan (no eggs or dairy). Now I don't have to! Your organic, cage-free, and most importantly, certified humane eggs are a blessing and true gift to those of us who want to live cruelty-free! I have been telling everyone I know about your products. Please continue to treat your hens with the love and attention you do today!

After we stopped raising our own "girls" I thought that was it for great tasting - and looking- eggs. Not so. Pete and Gerry's eggs have yolks that don't spread out, and the whites are never runny. And the taste is just like I remembered and missed. THank you, and keep up the honorable work

Your eggs are great! Most people crack them off the side of the bowl, my home ec teacher taught us to tap the egg, but I always crack my eggs re-enacting the nursery rhyme of Humpty Dumpty! I mark my eggs with marker, making them look like Humpty Dumpty, then I place one on a wall which I made(Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall), then knock it into a bowl(Humpty Dumpty had a great fall) reciting the rhyme. Then I bring out figures of the king's men(All the King's horses and all the King's men cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again).

I looked everywhere for cage free, organic, omega 3 eggs. I found cage free but not organic, organic but not omega 3 , and then finally I found Pete and Gerry's eggs. I bought them without hesitation! As a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian it was important to me that these eggs came with the "Certified Humane" seal! I was a bit hesitant that the taste, or quality would suffer- since few things in life are "perfect" after all! To my pleasent surprise, these are thee very best eggs I have ever been blessed to have, they are absolutely delicious and work just perfect in all my recipes that call for eggs.
Thank you Pete and Gerry for an exceptional and concientious offering!I am now a loyal customer and purchase a two pack of one doz eggs at least once a month from a leading warehouse club, (COSTCO) at a terrific price!

I'm an ordinary egg-buyer... I decided to give organic eggs a try.

I fried them; they sizzled and popped, I thought that I had finally learned how to fry eggs. 8 eggs later I realized : it's not me, it's the eggs.

These are amazing eggs! Everyone should buy them, Food for Health, Third Ave@East 92 St.

Dear Pete & Gerry,
I first started buying your eggs because your hens are not in rotten cages. I love your eggs, and the comments from your staff/hens,etc. I never buy other eggs. One thing I would like to suggest is that occasionally 'Edna' might like a little extra grit or calcium as a couple of times their shells have been a little thin. Keep up the good work, we need many more careing people like you - and thanks.

Love your eggs! Your eggs brought back memories of how eggs should taste. We had a small working family farm growing up and all of our chickens were range free fed organic. I'm on a new diet called "The Fat Flush Diet" and the author recommends Omega-3 eggs. I finally found them at Trader Joes, I was so excited. I was just in the White Mountains and yes they are beautiful. Thank you for providing a great product.

"This year for Mardi Gras, I decided to buy 1/2 dozen of your organic eggs to use in my chocolate mousse. I have always been very proud of this recipe, which after several years of practice I had thought had reached a state of near perfection. Well, to my immense surprise, your eggs lifted it to a new level! I have NEVER had egg whites beat up so stiff and retain their consistency as I work them into the chocolate. This alone made my mousse lighter than ever. Furthermore, the taste was quite delicate, making the overall experience extraordinary. My only regret is that I can't send you some of the mousse so that you could taste the results for yourself. Nevertheless, I at least wanted to write and tell you about it, and express my appreciation. From now on, your eggs are the ONLY ones going into my mousse."
